What You’re Being Invited Into
COME NEAR
From Religious Routine to Relational Posture
A 3-Day Journey of Prayer, Fasting, Worship + Revelation
Thursday, October 1 – Saturday, October 3, 2026
What happens when you know God...but somewhere along the way, your relationship with Him starts to feel more like a routine?
You pray.
You read your Bible.
You worship.
You fast.
You know how to seek God.
But if we're not careful, the very practices that were meant to draw us into a deeper relationship with God can become things we simply complete.
We can give God our morning without giving Him access to the rest of our day.
We can know His Word without allowing it to confront what we want.
We can agree with what He says while still allowing our feelings, fears, preferences, and plans to have the final say.
And we can become so accustomed to doing the things of God that we never stop to ask whether those things are actually forming the way we live.
This October, Women of Worth is returning to Radical Faith in the Holding Place, and God is inviting us deeper:
COME NEAR
This is not an invitation to another religious routine.
It is an invitation into relational posture.
A posture that says, Father, You have access to me.
If You wake me, I'll come.
If You interrupt me, I'll listen.
If You correct me, I'll receive.
If You tell me to move, I'll move.
If You tell me to remain, I'll stay.
Because there comes a point when what we know about God must become more than something we believe.
It must become how we live.
Our Invitation
With passion I pursue and cling to you. Because I feel your grip on my life, I keep my soul close to your heart.” || Psalm 63:8 TPT
October begins with two words:
Come near.
Not because we need another answer.
Not because we're trying to convince God to move.
Not because completing another fast makes us more spiritual.
We come because we desire Him.
And throughout these three days, we are asking ourselves one piercing question:
Does God have my attention—or does He only have my appointment?
Because come near isn't an appointment. It's a posture.
Our 3-Day Journey
Day 1: COME NEAR | From Routine to Relationship
We will examine the rhythms we have created with God and ask whether they are cultivating deeper intimacy, hunger, and attentiveness to Him.
Does God have my attention—or does He only have my appointment?
Day 2: SURRENDER | When Knowing Becomes Obedience
We will confront the places where we know what God says but still struggle to give His truth greater authority than what we feel, want, fear, or prefer.
Where does God have my agreement but not yet have my access?
Day 3: LIVE | When Knowing Becomes Posture
We will move beyond what we know about God and examine whether our relationship with Him is becoming visible in how we speak, respond, obey, wait, steward, move, remain, and live.
Does the way I live reveal that I believe what I say I know about God?
COME NEAR → SURRENDER → LIVE
Intimacy → Obedience → Embodiment
This Fast is for the Woman Who...
Loves God, but recognizes that some of her spiritual rhythms have begun to feel more routine than relational
Is faithful in prayer, Scripture, worship, or fasting but knows God is inviting her into deeper intimacy
Knows what God says but is wrestling with surrendering what she feels, wants, fears, or prefers
Has given God her agreement in some areas but realizes she has not given Him full access
Wants to become more attentive and responsive to God beyond her scheduled time with Him
Is ready for what she knows about God to become visible in how she actually lives
Desires a faith that does not simply show up when she needs God to do something, but becomes the posture from which she lives
Whether this is your first fast or you have journeyed with WOW month after month, you are welcome here.
What You Will Experience
For three days, we will intentionally create space for God through fasting, Scripture, prayer, worship, reflection, journaling, and sisterhood.
Our devotional, Fully Devoted, will press us into an even deeper question: Is Jesus enough for us?
Together, we will examine the difference between knowing how to practice spiritual disciplines and allowing those disciplines to form an increasingly undivided life before God.
And on Friday, October 2, we will gather for our Prayer + Worship Night, where we will worship, pray, and go deeper through live teaching as we move through the heart of our journey: SURRENDER | When Knowing Becomes Obedience.
This is not about abandoning spiritual disciplines. They matter.
But prayer should cultivate relationship.
Scripture should transform our thinking.
Fasting should teach us surrender.
Worship should deepen our adoration.
And time in God's presence should increasingly shape the way we live when we leave it.
Routine can shape a discipline. Relationship shapes a life.
Why This Fast Matters
There is a difference between having a routine with God and developing a relational posture before Him.
Religious routine says, “This is when I meet with God.”
Relational posture says, “God, You have access to me.”
Religious routine can ask, “What do I need to do?”
Relationship asks, “How do I remain available to You?”
This does not mean we stop creating intentional time with God. It means our relationship with Him is no longer confined to that time.
We begin to carry the secret place with us.
His Word becomes the lens through which we see our lives. His voice matters when it interrupts our plans. His correction is welcomed because we trust His character. Our feelings remain real, but they no longer have to become our final authority.
And eventually, the secret place has to enter us.
What happens between us and God in prayer should begin showing up in our decisions. In our responses. In the way we speak. In what we surrender. In how we wait. In how we obey. In what we refuse to agree with. In how we remain when everything around us is trying to move us.
That is why this fast matters.
We are not simply making more time for God.
We are giving Him greater access to our lives.
READY TO POSSESS THE PROMISE? From Knowing To Living
Last month, we learned that radical faith can rest because we know the character of our Father beyond the outcome.
Now our faith goes deeper.
If I really know my Father, does He have access to the way I live?
Am I seeking God because I desire Him—or only because I need something from Him?
Can I surrender what I feel without pretending I don't feel it?
When God's Word confronts what I want, which one carries greater authority?
Does my life reveal the relationship I say I have with Him?
This October, we are not simply asking God to meet us during three days of fasting.
We are asking Him to form a posture within us that remains when the fast is over.
COME NEAR.
SURRENDER.
LIVE.
The fast will end. The posture doesn't have to.
If you know there is more to your relationship with God than simply going through the motions, this invitation is for you.
Come near, Sis.
Not because you need another thing from God.
Come because you desire Him.
Join Women of Worth for three days of prayer, fasting, worship, Scripture, reflection, and revelation as we move from religious routine to relational posture.
